SITUATION: General Assembly's UX Design Circuit asked us to consider a way to connect with long-distance friends and family members. After interviewing friends and family, I identified watching tv was a way to connect that was missing in 2019.

TASK: I set out to create an app to watch live or recorded television and movies with others digitally to create "virtual togetherness".

ACTION: I created personas, established requirements, ran card sorting activities, created low fidelity wireframes on paper, mid fidelity wireframes in Adobe XD, and the high fidelity prototype you see today. I went through 3 rounds of usability testing to validate the prototype.

RESULTS: Watch with Friends enables friends to schedule times to watch live and recorded shows across various tv platforms. You can see who is online and invite friends to join your watch parties. 100% of the final test participants were able to create an event and watch with friends with no errors.
