Situation

With no central database, teams were reinventing the wheel

We wanted to connect experts and assets, such as code repositories, to teams. Employees didn't know who to contact for demos and knowledge was siloed.

TASK

Develop a company-wide platform to leverage existing assets, accelerate delivery, and ensure clients receive the best solutions

Action

Research and Prototyping

Initial research included a comparative analysis and interviews. Insights included the need for whitepapers to learn on demand and before setting meetings with busy experts to best use their time.

Design Phase

Usability Testing

Initial tests of the prototype revealed "confidence in understanding the system" at 8.2 out of 10 and "confidence in completing specific tasks" at 7.5 out of 10. These tests determined and prioritized the next phase of customization and features, including advanced searches, to improve that confidence level.

The tool joined the list of top-10 most popular links company-wide within its first year, and contributed content more than quadrupled.
